Alexander Girkinger is the founder of ALGI Advisory and supports investors and industrial companies in technical decision-making, complex project situations, and industrial transformation processes.
With more than 35 years of experience in mechanical engineering, automation technology, and international industrial projects, he combines technical depth with operational execution expertise.
The focus lies on technical due diligence, industrial integration, automation strategies, and technical risk assessment — particularly where technical decisions have direct economic impact.
Experience & Background
Alexander Girkinger has led and supported more than 160 national and international projects — ranging from automation solutions and industrial facilities to complex restructurings and technical evaluation processes.
As the long-standing Managing Director of ISW Industriesoftware GmbH, Alexander Girkinger brings both a technical and an entrepreneurial perspective. ISW was sold to the H.-F.-Meyer Group in 2021, and his operational role as Managing Director at ISW ended at the end of that year. In addition, Alexander Girkinger is a shareholder of GGTech Industrieanlagen GmbH.
Today, his focus is on independent technical advisory for investors, industrial companies, and M&A-related processes.

2. SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION · DEXA 2021
Alexander Girkinger is co-author of the scientific publication “Deep Learning Rule for Efficient Changepoint Detection in the Presence of Non-Linear Trends”, published in 2021 as part of the international DEXA Conference Workshops.
The research was conducted together with specialists in data science and industrial digitalisation and addresses the automated detection of relevant changes in complex industrial data patterns.
3. eAWARD 2019 · INDUSTRY 4.0
The “Predictive Analytics Message Board” project, developed together with the Software Competence Center Hagenberg and industrial partners, received an award at the eAward 2019 in the Industry 4.0 category.
The project focused on predictive analytics and data-driven methods for the early detection and analysis of relevant changes and faults in industrial systems.
